EEA Residence Card

You may be able to apply for a residence card if you are a non-EEA family member of an EEA national who is exercising Treaty Rights in the UK.

Under EEA Regulations 2016 the family members of an EEA national exercising Treaty Rights in the UK are, spouse or civil partner, your or your spouse's (or civil partner's) children under the age of 21 and direct dependant relatives in ascending line of you or your spouse or civil partner. Unmarried partner and other relatives are considered as extended family members.

Requirements :

  • You must be a family member of an EEA national who is exercising Treaty Rights in the UK
  • The evidence of relationship and of exercising Treaty Rights must be provided
  • If the applicant is married to the EEA national the marrige must be genuine.
